Woody didn’t know there was an angel looking out for him.

Trapped in a home where an owner took out frustration on him through cruelty, Woody endured more than any dog ever should. We didn’t know Woody’s story at first. One of our rescue partners reached out and shared what he had been through.

"Do you have room for this puppy? He has a horrible story. The owner had the puppy in a choke hold and was swinging him a round. A neighbor video taped it and the puppy was taken away to the shelter. They do not want him going back to the owner. He’s trying to get a rescue to help to get him back."

"Shelter Supervisors said it was horrible. The pup was frantic and scratched up the guys arms really bad try to save itself."

Woody was safe at the shelter, but he needed rescue to ensure he would never end up in that kind of situation again. We couldn’t say no.

We made room for this little angel and made a promise to him, that we would find him the home he deserves: a home filled with kindness, safety, and love. A home that will cherish his life.

Since arriving at the Ranch, Woody has been welcomed into our pack with open arms. He is already learning that not every human brings harm. Surrounded now by love and security, this fun little puppy is showing us his sweet, playful personality and the innocence that was always there.

What happened to Woody should never have happened. But those days are behind him now.

We are committed to finding Woody the perfect home, one where he can leave his past behind and grow into the joyful life every puppy deserves.
