When Tisha was picked up as a stray, she had just four days for someone to come looking for her… or to be added to “the list.”

Her notes at the shelter were heartbreakingly short: “Needs Rescue.” That was it. No additional information. No vaccines needed. No expectation she’d be there long.

They were right, she wasn’t there long. Just not for the reasons they thought. Tisha got her second chance with Coastal K9.

It took time for her to settle into life at the Ranch. She was slow to trust, especially with men, but little by little, her world has grown. Today, her circle includes both favorite men and women she now greets with familiarity and comfort.

Tisha may come across as stoic at first, but once you know her, you see the truth, there’s a playful, joyful spirit just beneath the surface. And when she sees her people? It’s pure, full-body puppy happiness.

Tisha will be an incredible companion for a family willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. She would do best in a quieter home with low foot traffic and no young children.

This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
