Luka survived six long months in the shelter system before finally getting his second chance. Sadly, many dogs don’t get that happy ending—but Luka’s story took a different turn when he joined our Coastal K9 Pack. ❤️🐾

Life at the shelter wasn’t always easy for Luka. He was bullied by his kennel mates, and like many of the dogs we rescue, he carries some scars from those experiences. Now, with time, patience and a safe, loving environment, we’ll begin showing Luka that there are people, and other dogs, he can trust.

Luka is friendly with people, a handsome boy with the cutest little ears, and it’s pretty hard not to fall in love with him. He’s looking for a family who will believe in him and give him the time and environment he needs to become the dog he was always meant to be.

As Luka settles into life at the Ranch, we’ll continue getting to know him and eventually see if we can find him a suitable playmate.

If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
