Hello Everyone,
Jin was adopted from Coastal K9 in January of 2025 and spent over a year in a loving home with two adults and two children. He settled in beautifully, affectionate, calm beyond his years, and a devoted companion to his family. Jin is housebroken, crate trained, and has excellent obedience. He walks nicely on leash, has exceptional recall, and has had professional training with a family committed to his continued structure and success.
Jin does well with other dogs and has shown positive interactions in both home and public settings. He enjoys being part of a routine and thrives when he understands what’s expected of him.
As Jin matured, it became clear that he is sensitive to unfamiliar people and environments, especially when approached directly. With structure and guidance, he has shown that he can remain calm and focused, but he does best in settings where his space and boundaries are respected.
Jin is not a dog for every home, but he is a very good dog in the right one.
His ideal home would be:
* In a quieter setting—spacious suburbs or rural (not a busy city environment)
* With an experienced owner who understands and can advocate for him
* Committed to providing structure, leadership, and continued training
* With a confident canine companion (he would truly enjoy a dog friend)
Jin is loyal, intelligent, and deeply connected to his people. In a home that understands him and sets him up for success, he will absolutely thrive.
If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
