THIS IS ISLA. She’s 100% beautiful. A sable GSD with grace and smarts. She may be the smartest coastal dog we have had in a LONG time.
ISLA has been with us for some time. Why? We’ll, this particular dog needs an owner to understands her. Is she a dog park dog??? Likely not. Could she learn every trick in the book?? YES! Absolutely. She’s that smart. And she’s that affectionate too to the people she knows.
Unfortunately, ISLA’s past left an imprint on her. We don’t know what happened to her before we rescued her from the shelter, but we’ve learned that certain things can make her react. Sometimes it’s another dog and sometimes it’s a stranger she hasn’t met. But for those in her inner circle, you couldn’t get a more loyal dog.
So ISLA needs a family who understands her and who is interested in providing structure and continued training and engagement with her. She is an amazing dog. She isn’t a dog for 1st time GSD owners or homes with other dogs or small children. She’d do fantastic as the ONLY dog in the household.
If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400.
