Meet Henry,
It breaks our hearts to see senior dogs in the shelter. The shelter environment can be incredibly difficult for any dog, but for a senior, it can be especially hard.
We are so thankful we had the opportunity to rescue Henry, a gorgeous and noble 7-year-old German Shepherd, and welcome him to the Coastal K9 pack. ❤️🐾
There’s something about Henry’s eyes. They seem to tell us just how grateful he is for this second chance. He soaks up the love and attention from our kennel team and volunteers and seems genuinely appreciative of every kind word, gentle touch and scratch behind the ears.
But don’t let the word “senior” fool you, Henry still has plenty of playful spirit! He’s eager to get out, have some fun, and enjoy time with his people. And once playtime winds down, he’s more than happy to soak up some well-earned affection.
Henry deserves the very best for this next chapter of his life. A family who will appreciate the wonderful dog he is and everything a senior dog can bring to a home; companionship, loyalty, love and a heart that still has so much to give.
We’re determined to find that family for Henry. ❤️
If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
