Gunner is a male German Shepherd Dog about 9-10 years old. Although he is a senior dog, Gunner still loves to play ball and hang out and spend time with those he knows. When Gunner sees the ball come out, his eyes say it all: “Let’s Play!” he says. When we ask Gunner if he wants to go for a walk, he can hardly contain his excitement, running around like a puppy and waiting patiently at the door. Out and about, Gunner is not reactive to other dogs even if they are barking at him.

Gunner has been able to enjoy working with a trainer over the years. He knows basic obedience and even some tricks. He is very easy to walk on a lead and very much loves exploring and taking in all the smells and sniffs.

Gunner is adorable, loving, affectionate, and playful. His dream would be to spend the last chapter of his life in a loving home. He would do best in a home with GSD experience and with a family who understands how to provide the proper leadership he needs. We promised Gunner we would find that home for him. Until then, we will continue to provide the best love and care for him while he is with us.

This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
