Meet Foxxy — Loyal, Smart, and Full of Heart!
Foxxy rejoined our Coastal Pack at the Ranch recently after a stay with her temporary Foster home. Foxxy is a loving, affectionate girl who thrives on companionship. She adores being close to her person and followed her foster family’s dogs like part of the pack. Once she bonds, she’s deeply loyal, the kind of dog who will always be by your side.
Not long after we rescued Foxxy, we discovered she was hard of hearing. Thankfully, her Foster mom had experience with deaf dogs and was the perfect place to start her new life out of the shelter. Her Foster mom shared, "This clever girl has learned several hand and arm signals and is eager to please. She responds to a wave or towel signal to come inside, and a simple point and finger wave brings her running to you. Foxxy waits patiently for her meals and even takes turns brushing her teeth for a treat yes, she’s that well-mannered!"
At night, Foxxy curls up peacefully on her bed alongside her dog friends. She gets along wonderfully with dogs she knows and loves playing with them. When meeting new dogs, she just needs a calm introduction and time to sniff things out once she’s comfortable, she’s all in and becomes their BFF."
When meeting new people, Foxxy prefers a little patience — one or two visits to warm up, and then she’ll be your biggest fan. We have learned that Foxxy doesn't do well with children, and can be a bit intimidated by them. She would rather be with adults.
Foxxy’s ideal home would be one that appreciates her intelligence, sensitivity, and her incredible heart. A bonus would be a canine friend to play with and serve as a companion. With love and a bit of patience, this sweet girl will reward you with unwavering devotion. 🐶💕
If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
