Hello Everyone,
Some dogs leave paw prints on our hearts, but Dylan wraps his paws around our hearts and squeezes. Dylan’s journey began in hardship, confined to a small apartment with other puppies, lacking human interaction. A good Samaritan rescued them, but Dylan, scared and untrusting, was left behind. When he arrived at the Rescue, he cowered in a corner, shaking. Over time, Dylan began to trust a select few volunteers who patiently gave him space and love. The instant impact for Dylan however was his connection with other dogs. Other dogs helped Dylan feel safe. He found joy playing with other dogs, and his time at the Rescue became his safe haven.
After some time at the Ranch, we were able to place Dylan in a loving foster home, one with resident dogs to help him feel comfortable. His foster mom recently share this update on Dylan.
“Dylan is doing very well and his confidence has grown a lot! Once he warms up and trusts a person he is a huge cuddle bug. He will sleep with his head on you if not his whole body. His husky comes out when he talks which doesn’t happen often but will when he’s playing or he sees a friend. He knows how to sit and wait and he’s very respectful when everyone is eating. He has taken a trip to grandmas with Maisey and he settles in within 30 minutes and will take treats. This is huge for him and a testament to his growing confidence! When people come over, he still will huff at the start but he also settles in and doesn’t run to another room anymore. He’s very loving and a total sweetheart!”
Dylan is a testament to how a loving family and the right environment can help a rescue dog heal and grow. Dylan would love to find his forever home. If you think you might have the right home for him, we’d love to talk to you.
