COASTAL K9 GERMAN SHEPHERD RESCUE
of SAN DIEGO

Hello everyone,

Aston recently joined our rescue. He has been enjoying living with his foster mom. Aston is as sweet as he is beautiful. Here is her report from her time with him in her home.

"Aston is a very special dog, beautiful on the inside and out. Extremely loving and affectionate, he just wants to hang out with his people, get lots of snuggles and show them what a smart and good boy he is.

He loves to help with chores and will carry the laundry basket around, help open packages and generally pick up and carry around anything you give him. He loves his one toy (stuffed animal) and will take it upstairs and downstairs and is often found sleeping with it. He is very gentle, even when being playful and rough-housing. He loves to jump onto the bed when you invite him to in the morning for cuddles, really long cuddles … but he won’t wake you up.

He walks nicely on leash and is non- reactive to passing dogs. He is extremely alert, smart and athletic would probably really enjoy Shepherd/Malinois specific training. He listens well and has good recall.
He can be anxious when left alone (does not chew or make a mess) but that has already improved within the first week he has been here and settles down quickly once I return.

I honestly can’t imagine a sweeter and more loving dog ♥️ I think he would do best in a multi-person household with someone who works from home and can spend plenty of time with him and give him all the love he deserves."

If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at information@coastalgsrsd.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
