Cru is a sweet, loving, and very high-energy dog and we're looking to place him in the best home for hijm. He’s a rescue, so we don’t know his full breed mix, but we do know his mother was an Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix, which definitely shows in his energy level and need for stimulation and activity.
Right now, Cru lives with me in an apartment in La Jolla without a backyard, so most of his exercise comes from long walks, trips to the dog park, or visits to dog beach. He truly thrives when he has space to run and play off leash — that’s when his happiest and best self really comes out. He absolutely loves other dogs and would do especially well in a home with a yard and another playful dog companion.

Cru has gone through several weeks of professional training and has made progress, but he still struggles with impulse control at times. He can be excitable, jumps on people, chews furniture, and doesn’t always consistently follow commands. I genuinely believe much of this is tied to his high energy and current living environment.

At his core, Cru is a kind and affectionate dog who loves people. He can occasionally get overstimulated around very young children and may bark at them, so a home without small kids may be the best fit for him.

Cru deserves a home that can give him the space, exercise, structure, and stimulation he needs to truly thrive. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations.
