Birdie is one of the most outgoing puppies we have with other puppies and dogs. With people, she takes time to learn to trust. There is nothing wrong with her. She is perfect. Some may say perfectly imperfect. After all, who isn't. Birdie is like a lot of the White German Shepherds who are just born cautious, one who is never going to be one of those who runs up to strangers to say hi. She would like to do a study on people, get to know them and then decide if she is going to say hi. When she knows you, be prepared. Her hellos are much like a torpedo coming from a distance. She will run up to give you a big kiss.

Birdie needs a home with at least one other dog, a confident dog of her generation, one that can keep up with her energy and her play but also be a good leader. Because of her caution, we are looking for an adult only home for Birdie. Children are wonderful for some puppies, but for Birdie, they make her more nervous.

This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
