Hi, my name’s Denver! I’m a one year old pup who started life at the ranch earlier this summer. If you’re looking for a smaller adorable shepherd I’m your guy! One of my best friends at the ranch is Kinsey, I could hang-out with her all day! I love to run and play with the friendlier dogs but I can get overwhelmed and a little “timid” when the play gets a little too rough. I can be vocal when I go out on walks, and if there’s another dog who is also vocal I can sometimes redirect so I’ll need a family who has patience and experience when it comes to working with me on walks.
My ideal forever home would be a family who already has a mellow friendly female dog that I can be friends with. While I can get along with male dogs initially, I tend to get reactive if I feel like I am not getting all of the attention. My volunteer friends did recently discover that I can be around cats which is a bonus! I can be a little shy at first when meeting people but once I get to know you I’ll want to cuddle and be around you all day!

This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
