Hi Everyone!
DENVER is a petite 1-year old GSD mix. He joined our pack earlier this Summer along with KENZIE and KILLIAN. He has quickly become a volunteer favorite and is definitely is in the running with KENZIE for the "most adorable" ranch pup.
Between his time in foster care and his time at the Ranch, we've learned a few things about his boy. He is a wonderful playmate to our other friendly Coastal dogs. As you can see from the video clips, he plays very well with other dogs, but rough housing "GSD-style" can be a little overwhelming for him. He is very affectionate and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES other dogs. As a matter of fact, being around other dogs helps DENVER feel more at ease so a forever home with another dog would be a great home for him.
.
DENVER is very affectionate and is always happy to see you. He is house-broken and walks easy on a leash. He loves to cuddle next to you on the couch AND he loves to play ball too. Once he's comfortable in his environment you will see that he is a happy-go-lucky, fun and cute dog.
.
One thing that DENVER has shown us is a bit of resource guarding with his food and with some toys. This would need to be managed in his new home to avoid any conflict. This dog is new to the rescue. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
